Post 31 - Rig tweaks One: Belly Jiggle

For the 3ds max rig, I rigged up a controller to manipulate the stomach. In Maya, I used the jiggle deformer; a tool specifically designed to script a delayed recoil for geometry. This can also be used for any pat of the anatomy in order to create more realistic motion without key framing. First you select the vertices that you wish to deform. Then, select jiggle deformer. This adds a deformer. By typing the deformer's name in the command area, you can then adjust the settings such as weight and amounts. This rig is a slim male and so does not require a lot of influence, but the weighting would be increased should the character be larger, heavier or in order to enhance motion, (e.g. in cartoon like characters).
